Completely shut down and restart the laptop2. Personally, I simply don’t watch them. Btw sky, I also paid to remove ads chicken road game apk but uou don’t remove do you? I had done everything, and I have just gone through the whole thing again,  but still I only get the app window to pop up and say looking for update and then close down on me, so th all is still not working. @Angelica1974 if you set your device to get the details from the router you do not need these details but @jean+james there seem to be several issues going on here.

I have deleted and installed the app, I have deleted the app and waited over night and it still just opens, looks for updates and closes down. It worked when I 1st installed it a few months ago, but now it just starts up , checks for updates then closes before it gets to the main menu. Even if reset is not listed there is still an option to connect by WiFi to Sky or 3rd party router.If you are on Sky Broadband you will be asked to press the WPS button on the Sky router. First reset your broadband router.If on Sky broadband hold the Reset on the back of the router until the power light flashes green (about 10 seconds). When I unchecked the box pressed Apply then reloaded the app it had gone back to display the app across the full screen.

I’m really sorry you’ve been having issues with the Sky Go on your PC. I don’t have any Citrix installed so that would seem like a bluff. Worked until this morning then uninstalled, now when reinstall get exactly same as you. When SkyGo starts it just does nothing. I checked, I don’ have that other app.

Get the mobile app for the best Kahoot! This had happened after I’d tried the Windows Trouble Shooting and it had suggested running in Compatability Mode. I’ve been trying to resolve a problem where the Sky Go screen had gone to a smaller fixed size on the laptop and you couldn’t expand it. Look along the tabs that appear for ‘Compatibility’ and click on it.5.

I created a new user on my Windows 11 PC, downloaded the App to that user and installed. I’m assuming there’s some app that conflicts with the Sky Go app.

I then purchased a brand new HP Windows 11 PC and have the same issue. I had the same issue with my Dell Windows 11 PC. Clearly not the only one with this issue will be emailing the Chief exec later I have uninstalled; reinstalled countless times but still no joy. The app must be total spaghetti code….

• Also have Citrix but need this for work so it’s not really acceptable to just say uninstall every time you want to watch something!!
• I simply added a new windows user and installed the app on that login(so its like fresh windows start up and only the essental apps are installed).
• I had an issue were the app wouldn’t even open for me.

I have uninstalled and re-installed multiple times, made sure all updates for the PC are installed and restarted the PC multiple times as well but the same issue keeps happening and I cannot use the SkyGo app!! I simply added a new windows user and installed the app on that login(so its like fresh windows start up and only the essental apps are installed). It checks for updates, suggests it is downloading updates then leaves a blue screen with a play button until I close the app. Make sure you press the WPS button on the Sky router and not the reset button.If you are on Sky Broadband with the new Sky Max router then you need to connect it as if it is a 3rd party router.If you are on 3rd party (non Sky ) broadband then you need to enter the SSID and password for the router 2.4 Ghz WiFi band. There are a multitude of chains about the issue of Sky Go not loading on laptops and just ‘hanging’ at the start screen.

• (Not on the Q box as the Network reset will start the main Q box WPS automatically).

Having the same issue and have literally just switched to sky. I pay a hefty fee to have Sky F1, don’t watch any other channels was relying on sky go for this I pay a hefty fee to have Sky F1, don’t watch any other channels was relying on sky go for this season working for early/late races. The Premier Sports app is now available on Sky Glass and Sky Stream in the UK. Also have Citrix but need this for work so it’s not really acceptable to just say uninstall every time you want to watch something!! It says getting updates, then nothing. Most perplexed, resetting Citrix has not fixed it and I have to use Citrix for work, it was working and now isn’t very strange.

I have trying uninstalling the app but not the hidden folders and files part. What have you tried, have you tried uninstalling the app and the hidden files and folders it uses ?

Both my computers have this same problem, the app just shows a giant play button and nothing else happens. I have had the same issue and followed your instructions but the app still does not work. You just need to hold down the reset button on the back of the Sky Hub for ten seconds, until the power light flashes. If this happens you can easily reset your Sky Hub to factory default settings. Your router settings page allows you to configure your home broadband network to suit your needs.
